Established in 1986, as a national, non-profit, non-governmental organization under the Societies' Registration Act 1860, Aurat Publication and Information Service Foundation (Aurat Foundation/AF) is committed to create widespread awareness and commitment for a just, democratic and caring society in Pakistan, where women and men are recognised as equals, with the right to lead their lives with self-respect and dignity. Over the last 30 years, Aurat Foundation has come to be recognised nationally and internationally as one of the leading institutions creating, facilitating and strengthening civil society groups and networks for promoting trust and collaboration among citizens to mobilize public pressure for women’s empowerment in the country.

FRAUD ALERT
It is brought to Aurat Foundation's knowledge that some fake job advertisements regarding NSER Survey are being posted in different newspapers, electronic and social media sites; specially in the areas of KP and Punjab provinces. It is notified for general public that Aurat Foundation has no link with any such job advertisements. Also Aurat Foundation is not implementing NSER in KP. Please be vigilant and note that we will not be responsible for any mishap in this regard. .

Work from Home

It is in the wake of the imminent spread of Novel COVID-19 virus epidemic and following government advisory to avoid public gatherings, maintaining social distances and avoid unnecessary public interaction, we are announcing a 'work-from-home' conditions for all program staff working at Head Office Islamabad and regional offices Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar, except NSER staff and staff on special assignment w.e.f. 19th November 2020 to 27th November 2020. The decision will be reviewed as and when needed following further government advisory. During this period our office telephone numbers will not be operational however for any urgent contact you can call on the cell numbers of the concerned officer(s). All offices will reopen from 30th November 2020 as per shared duty roster. During this period our program staff will follow the following routine:

  • Will maintain online connectivity for all work related tasks

  • Will be responding to urgent emails as required

  • Will be responding to work-related calls

  • In case needed will be available for Skype/ WhatsApp meetings

  • Avoid any face-to-face meetings and interactions

  • Will be handling all important official assignments which doesn't required physical interactions

  • Avoid public gathering and visiting public places

  • Keep social distancing as advised by the experts and government authorities

We are committed to safety and well-being of all around us and expect that during these difficult times facing our society in particular and global community in general we shall play whatever role and in whatever capacity to safeguard the humanity from such threats. Kindly inform and update your relevant staff immediately.
